HB Bodyboards 2010 – Brad Hughes Resigns for HB for three years

HB is pleased to announce they have resigned WA’s favourite red headed son, Brad Hughes for the next three years. HB had this to say
“Securing the long time signature of Brad was our first major goal for 2010. He has tested the boards globally in all conditions and provides the insight needed to keep HB at the top of the game”
Hughesy said of the resigning:
“Stoked. The boards are made by the best shapers/materials in the market and the HB Boys listen to how I want my boards to perform. They also put these same ideas into the product that you see on the shelves. At the end of the day I could not be happier”
Hughesy is now amped at the opportunity to travel with the team which includes James Kates, Chris Wilson, Chris Winchester, Matt Young and Nick Rubesaame for the teams video project due for release in 2010
Hughesy celebrated the new contract with a trip to the Cocos Islands and found some inspiration for his season 2010/2011 boards.

Brad “Hugey” Hughes
The Professional. The waves Hugey has ridden have redefined what is possible on a bodyboard. The boy from WA is a threat on both the Oz and World Tour due to his ability to tear apart anything from 1 foot to 20. Hugey is planning a massive assault in 2010 having already scored in South Oz, WA and East Coast he has now turned his attention to Hawaii and the first event on the 2010 IBA Calendar.
James “Flames” Kates
The Freestyler. The kid has blown up over the last 12 months with a continuous stream of shots and mind smacking video coverage. His style both in and out of the water is unique and infectious…… something that holds him in good stead with his peers.
Nick “Baby Face” Rubesaame
The Grom. Been a loyal rider for HB and is now finding his feet in the BB world. Breaking free from his birthplace, the Sunshine Coast, the kid is looking for a big 2010…. The boardbag will be his new home with trips to Hawaii, Indo, NSW South Coast as well as team trips for the upcoming video release.
Chris “Bill” Winchester
The Shadow. When your brother is world #2, some pretty heavy expectations are thrust upon you. The northern beaches shredder has traveled the world, surfed the spots and got the shots. He surfs with consistency and style above his years…… and never lets anything get in the way of a Sunday session.
Chris “Ceedub” Wilson
The individual. Never one to care for the mainstream or the comments made by its followers, Wilso finds comfort in big waves, huge airs and very tight jeans. His personality is nothing but likeable and with a new ski in the garage, 2010 will be nothing short of astonishing. Look for him somewhere above you.
Matt “Hulk: Young
The underrated. After lying dormant on the South Coast for the past several years, the Hulk is about to explode on the bodyboarding world. He has conquered the South Coast and now has his eyes, and exceptional talent, set on world domination. He will be working the angles with the other boys in the upcoming HB Team flick.
